Abstract

1,006,377. Valves. GUEST & CHRIMES Ltd. Nov. 19, 1963 [Jan. 2, 1963], No. 286/63. Heading F2V. A seal is effected around the spherical periphery 2a of a butterfly closure 2 by fluid pressure acting upon resilient, e.g. rubber, U-rings 5 on one or both sides of the closure. The U-rings 5 are held in place by retainer rings 4 which co-operate with the valve body 1.
