[Also in Division H2] An electric motor, whose rotor speed variations due to angular movement of the entire motor are compensated, comprises a flywheel 9 which is rotatably mounted on an axis either parallel to or coaxial with that of the rotor, so connected to the rotor as to rotate in the opposite direction thereto, and has a speed of rotation and moment of inertia whose product is equal to that of the rotor. As shown, the D.C. motor has contacts for energizing field coils 4, 5 and a rotor 1 . . . 3 driving the flywheel 9 through toothed coils 4, 5 and a rotor 1 . . . 3 driving the flywheel 9 through toothed gearing 7, 8, but the latter may be replaced by a belt mechanical, electrical or hydraulic drive.
