[Also in Division H5] An electrically heated frying pan has a base 30 of stainless steel with a resilient wall 32 through which screws are inserted such that their rounded ends project against the sloping portion 21 of the pan wall, thereby urging the base upwards such that the upper edge of the wall 32 projects into a groove containing a sealing substance 50, a split band 55 being thereafter clamped around the outside. A cover (Fig. 8, not shown) for the pan includes an adjustable vent, formed by an apertured member 123, Fig. 10, removably secured within an opening in the cover, and an insulating member 116, having connecting lateral and vertical passages formed therein, and rotatably mounted on member 123, such that by relative rotation a desired degree of overlap of the apertures and the vertical passage can be obtained, providing an escape for steam through exit 141.
