Abstract

1,043,335. Electric griller. AUSTRALIAN ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY PTY. Ltd. July 13, 1965 [July 28, 1964], No. 29707/65. Heading A4D. [Also in Division F4] An electric griller has two plate-like sheet metal reflectors 23, electric heating elements 27 adjacent thereto and a removable, heat-penetrable food holder 32 between the elements 27. A drip tray 39 with a perforated lid 42 may be provided. The food holder 32 may comprise hinged wire grids 33 and 34 with spikes 44, Fig. 5 (not shown), or a single metal plate 46, Fig. 7, not shown) with outwardly directed prongs 47, or a member 49, Fig. 8 (not shown) carrying parallel spikes which extend longitudinally between the heating elements 27. The griller may be portable or built in to an electric stove, also it may have banks of spaced apart heating elements with removable food holders disposed between each pair of elements.
