Abstract

989,276. Excavator teeth. ESCO CORPORATION. Oct. 5, 1963, No. 39302/63. Heading E1F. [Also in Division F2] The retainer for securing a digging tooth on a support comprises a wedge part 121 and a spool part 120 which is equipped on the rearward face with transversely spaced lugs 126 and on the forward face with transversely spaced apart, longitudinally extending ribs 124. The lugs 126 locate the spool in the tooth whilst the ribs 124 engage complementary ribs 125 in the wedge part 121. Various preferred configurations of the retainer are described.
