989,037. Loading boats on trailers. BRAMBER ENGINEERING CO. L t d. Sept. 24, 1963 [Nov. 16, 1962], No.43497/62. Heading B8E. [Also in Division B7] A boat transporting trailer comprises longitudinal members 2 with a strut 9, mounting a winch 10 and a coupling 11, and transverse and side chocks 6, 13. The boat is loaded by the winch over rollers 14 mounted on pivotable bell cranks 15 so that they can be raised and lowered from an operative to inoperative position by the winch 10 connected to an additional bell crank 18 joined to the bell cranks 15 by a link bar 16. The bell crank 18 can be locked to a projection 21 to hold the rollers raised and when the rollers are lowered the boat rests on the chocks 6, 13 clear of the rollers. The axle bar 7 is adjustable along the members 2 so that it can be correctly positioned relative to the centre of gravity when the trailer is loaded.
