Abstract

987,479. Crates. DAIRY SUPPLY CO. Ltd. Sept. 23, 1963 [Sept. 24, 1962], No. 36299/62. Heading B8P. A plastics crate with compartments formed by intersecting dividing walls 8 has lugs 14 for engagement within apertures 15 when stacked. The dividing walls 8 are arch shaped, joined at their apices 9, and to the base wall 10 and have semi-circular ribs 9b for holding a bottle in position. The base wall has stiffening ribs 10a and drainage apertures 11. The side walls of the crate may have apertures 3 with reinforcing ribs 4 and upper and lower strengthening rails 12, 13. The lugs 14 and apertures 15 are positioned to enable the crate to be stacked with known metal crates.
