A domestic cooker comprises a collector (not shown) for cooking vapours, a condenser arranged to receive said vapours and a fan arranged to draw the vapours into the condenser; the condenser having a case divided by an inside wall 8 into two compartments which have respectively an inlet 4 connected to the collector and an outlet 20 connected to the fan inlet, said compartments communicating with each other through one or more openings 10 in wall 8. As shown, vapours enter the condenser at inlets 4 and are guided by baffles 11 to openings 10 where they pass up behind wall 8 and those that have not yet been condensed pass through outlet tube 20 to the lower part of fan housing 13. As illustrated in Fig. 1 (not shown) the condenser may be fitted to the cooker as a splash-back or it may be fitted on a supporting wall for easy removal. As shown on the left of Fig. 3, openings 10 may be replaced by wall 8 not reaching the floor of the condenser.
