985,743. Blasting. BADISCHE MASCHINENFABRIK A.G.-SEBOLDWERK. Dec. 11, 1963 [Dec. 11, 1962], No. 48899/63. Heading B3D. Impeller blades each have at least one root having retaining faces adapted for application thereto of surface clamping pressure and being symmetrically disposed about both the longitudinal and transverse sections of the blade and the roots are releasably anchored in recesses in the impeller disc by screw fastening elements each having a clamping face which mates with one of the retaining faces on the root of the blade. The root 21, Fig. 2, of a blade 2 is anchored in a recess 12 in the impeller disc 1 by a fastening element 3 having a stem 33 passing through the disc 1 and carrying a nut 34. In a modification, Fig. 4, the root 21 of the blade 2 is anchored in the recess 12 in the impeller disc 1 by a member 71 on a fixing bolt 7.
