Abstract
985,562. Dental stands. CHIRANA PRAHA NARODNI PODNIK. May 23, 1961 [June 3, 1960], No. 18520/61. Heading A5R. Means for regulating, heating and distributing air and water in a dental unit are arranged on a member which can be pulled out of the unit, the withdrawal of the member from the unit serving to break electrical circuits between the unit and the member at an electric plug. The electrical circuits are made, when the member is in the unit, by knife contacts 3. The member comprises a panel 1 on which are mounted an electromagnetic valve 4 in the water supply line to a dental spittoon, a reduction valve 6 and an electric heater 5 in a water supply line to a water spray nozzle 10 and an air spray mounting 7 having an air supply connection 8 and an air spray screw joint connection 9. An air spray connecting piece including an air heater electrically connected through the knife contacts may be fitted on the air supply connection 9. Heated and unheated water are mixed under the control of a mixing valve 23 so that water at a desired temperature flows to the spray nozzle 10. Sterile water may be supplied to the spray nozzle through a screw joint connection 12.
