A folding step-ladder comprises a platform 12 pivotally connected to the front legs 10 or back legs 16 and resting on a cross-bar 17 of the other legs and rods 20 pivoted to the platform adjacent its pivot and to the other legs beneath their centre to prevent separation of the legs and consequent movement of the ladder from its station due to frequent mounting.
