Abstract

984,260. Valves. LUCIFER S.A. May 30, 1963 [June 8, 1962], No. 21608/63. Heading F2V. A valve 14 actuated by a solenoid in a hood 9 co-operates with a seat 4 and has an operative face made from sapphire, tungsten carbide, ruby, diamond, quartz, topax, corundum or other material having a hardness at least equal to 7 Mohs. The seat 4 is of the same material as the valve 14 or of relatively soft material, such as trifluoromonochloroethylene, while the valve 14 is mounted on a spring 16 inside the solenoid 11 which is also provided with an adjustable spring 12.
