[Also in Division F1] A lubrication system for supplying lubricant to a series of pivotal connections of an hydraulic turbine, has lubricant fed under pressure through double pipes 16 to a distributer 15 from where lubricant is distributed to the various pivotal connections, each of which has a number of independent swivels 1 carried by a stationary pivot-pin 6. Each pivot-pin 6 has lubricating passages 9 therein and has a head 7 thereon. The passages 9 extend to inlets 10 and outlets 8, the latter being in the head 7. Each swivel 1 has a radial duct 3 to which lubricant is supplied by the distributer 15, has a chamber 2 connected to the duct 3, and has seats 4 for annular packings. The swivels 1 are mounted on a pivot-pin 6 so that the inlets 10 in the pivotpin are each supplied with lubricant from a chamber 2. In an embodiment as shown in Fig. 1, a pivot 14, of a rod 18, is mounted on a support 13 which carries the guide blades of a turbine; a pivot 20 connects rods 18 and 19; a pivot 21 connects the rod 19 with a revolvable inner ring 22 of the turbine; and a pivot 23 connects a stay 24 to the ring 22. The stay 24 is actuated by a motor (not shown). In use, lubricant is passed from the distributer 15, Fig. 1, through connections a, b, c and d, the connection a supplying the pivot 14 through a passage 8 in the head 7 of the pivotpin 6 and the connections b, c and d passing to the pivot 20. The pivot 20 is supplied with lubricant by the connection b and the connections c and d pass to the pivot 21. The pivot 21 is supplied with lubricant by the connection c and the connection d passes to the pivot 23 which is then supplied with lubricant. In a modification, the connection 1 to the pivot 14 is replaced by a channel 11, Fig. 4, in the pivot-pin 6. A non-return valve 12, Fig. 2, may be provided.
