Abstract

983,736. Semi-conductor reactance circuits; transistor oscillator and amplifier circuits. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. Aug. 16, 1963 [Aug. 17, 1962], No. 32493/63. Headings H3R and H3T. An inductive pure reactance is produced by connecting a resistance R to the base of a transistor so that, with the transistor input capacitance C D , a 45 degrees phase lag is produced at the base, and by connecting a capacitor C A between collector and emitter, and a resistor G between the collector load resistor R 2 and input terminal B<SP>1</SP>, to produce a further 45 degrees phase lag feedback to the input. Capacitor C 1 in series with resistor G is merely a low reactance D.C. voltage blocking capacitor. With capacitor C K shunting the input terminals B<SP>1</SP>, E, a parallel resonant input circuit for an amplifier or an oscillator may be formed. The circuit input conductance Y 1 across B<SP>1</SP>,E is shown to equal and, allowing for the input conductance of the transistor &c., this is a pure inductance if approximately and resonance is obtained if It follows therefore that are approximate requirements. An amplified signal is available at U A and by suitably choosing the operation conditions the circuit will operate as a sinusoidal oscillator.
