[Also in Division B8] A flexible container for storing and transporting liquid or viscous products such as hydrocarbons is characterized in that its wall is weatherproof and has a high mechanical resistance and comprises a textile reinforcement 12, e.g. nylon, coated on each face with a mixture 11 on an elastomer basis, e.g. an acrylic nitrile or styrene butadiene copolymer, the internal face being also lined by adhesion with a thin film 10 of a non-plasticized plastic material, e.g. polyamide, unaffected by the contents or the vulcanization system of the elastomer. The base for the coating may be chlorobutadiene plus polyvinyl chloride, and the coating may contain plasticizers to improve its flexibility and resistance to low temperatures. There may be more than one textile reinforcement. The container has a filling orifice 7 and is made up of widths joined as shown in Fig. 6, the width 11a being without the protective film 10a over a short extent, and the two widths 11 and 11a connected by a joining material 14 vulcanized by hot welding over which is applied a joint covering 15 similar to films 10, 10a.
