Abstract

981,964. Gear pumps. W. REINERS, AND G. WIGGERMANN, [trading as REINERS & WIGGERMANN GETRIEBE-UND MASCHINENBAU]. March 14, 1961 [March 14, 1960], No. 9287/61. Addition to 882,248. Drawings to Specification. Heading FIF. [Also in Division F2] In a modification of the gear pump arrangement described in the parent Specification, the gear teeth have an addendum of not less than 1À25 x module, and grinding of the tooth flanks is limited to that tooth part between the pitch and addendum circles. The root part inside the pitch circle of the gap between two adjacent teeth may be formed by parallel faces spaced equidistantly from a plane radially of the gear wheel or it may be formed by undercutting the tooth flanks approximately at the pitch circle. Preferably the root of each tooth gap is milled to the final dimensions.
