An end fitting for a convoluted hosepipe C comprises a tube of stiff synthetic plastic material, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, having plain terminal portions A, B adapted to make spigotal engagement with a vacuumcleaner intake and to fit over the hosepipe, the intermediate portion E being convoluted to render it flexible. The convolutions have the same pitch as those of the hosepipe to enable the latter to be screwed into the end fitting. To facilitate the insertion of the hosepipe the terminal portion B may be frusto-conical or have an outwardly flared lip D.
