979,267. Laminates. EXPANDED METAL CO. Ltd. Oct. 22, 1963 [Oct. 24, 1962], No. 40260/62. Heading B5N. [Also in Division F4] Corrugated sheet or strip material suitable for use as packing material for heat-resistant linings, e.g. of steel furnaces, boilers &c., comprises two outer layers of asbestos paper bonded via a heat-resistant cement such as a slurry of sodium silicate with powdered asbestos, to an interlayer of perforated or expanded sheet metal or of wire-mesh. In making, a plane outer layer coated with adhesive has placed over it a corrugated interlayer and a second outer layer, and the assembly is passed through corrugating rolls.
