Abstract
978,678. Triangulation towers. W. S. PARK. Dec. 17, 1963, No. 49728/63. Heading E1B. In a tower used as a surveying station comprising inner and outer lattice structures which are independent of each other, the outer structure 21 supports a tubular member 46 and receives surveying instruments, the member 46 extending through a tubular windshield 75 supported on a working platform 68 that is fixed to the inner structure. The structures are each of triangular section, the outer structure being wider at its base and being built up in sections which are clamped together. The inner structure is supported by wire stays 43 extending to the ground. Both the windshield 75 and the tubular member 46 are adjustably clamped in position.
