Abstract

A triangulation marking staff which consists of a pole with guy lines is for use by surveyors for setting-off measurements. It is made of metal and can be dismantled to ease carrying from one site to another. It comprises a sight made-up of two rectangular panels (1, 2) which are mounted at right angles to each other on a support, and the support consists of an assembly (3) of four interfitting tubes. Between the panels (1, 2) and the tubular assembly (3), there is a collar (4). This collar (4) has three holes to attach three guy-lines (5, 6, 7). Each guy-line (5, 6, 7) has a tension adjuster (8).
