978,647. Load-handling pallets. O. G. NYMAN. Jan. 18, 1963, No. 2232/63. Heading B8H. [Also in Division E2] Adjacent side walls of a collapsible frame for attachment to a pallet are connected by hinges. Each hinge comprises two U-shaped hinge parts 1a, 1b joined by a pivot pin 6 received in loops 5 formed between the bottom 4 and one side wall 3 of each hinge part, each wall 3 having at one end a right-angled extension 12 which is bent again adjacent the opposite side wall 2 and is rigidly connected, e.g. by welding, to an extension 9 of the side wall 2. The tongues 8 which are thereby formed enable pallets equipped with such frames to be stacked.
