Abstract
977,466. Cable and wire terminals. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE MATERIEL ELECTRIQUE SIMEL. March 30, 1961 [March 31, 1960], No. 11717/61. Heading H2E. A method of securing a terminal member 1 (Fig. 1) to a conductor 2, where the terminator comprises a sleeve of malleable metal having a substantially cylindrical bore, and an outside surface which tapers outwardly from a cylindrical shank portion increasing in diameter towards the open cable receiving end, comprises inserting the cable into the bore and crimping the tapering portion of the sleeve, causing the bore to taper in at the open end about the cable and the outside of the sleeve to assume a substantially cylindrical shape (Fig. 2).
