A silo for grain of cylindrical or polygonal outline is made from expanded metal sheets 1 supported on a framework 2, 3, 4, 5, the mesh being arranged and of such dimensions as to keep out rain whilst permitting ventilation. The roof 6 and the central ventilating hole 8 may be made of like sheets or the roof made of canvas. The silo may be provided with an elevator and/or auger for filling and emptying purposes together with electric heating and drying means using pressure or exhaust fans. For spacing and dimensions of slots in the expanded sheet the Specification should be referred to. Specification 761,775 is referred to.
