Abstract

975,991. Automatic record changing gramophones. MAGNAVOX ELECTRONICS CO. Ltd. July 7, 1963 [July 31, 1962], No. 29416/62. Drawings to Specification. Heading G5R. An automatic record changing gramophone has a change cycle mechanism including a rotary cam which makes one complete revolution in each cycle of operation and which is located in either one of two alternative angular rest positions by engagement with it of a follower; whilst a record is being played the cam is located in a first position, and it is moved from this position by an automatic trip when the record is finished and rotates to the second position, in so doing raising the pick-up arm and moving it outwards; the cam is stopped in the second position when no more records are to be played, engagement of the follower in this position stopping and switching off the gramophone; the follower is movable from engagement with the cam in the second position, in so doing raising the pick-up arm and moving it outwards the cam is stopped in the second position when no more records are to be played, engagement of the follower in this position stopping and switching off the gramophone; the follower is movable from engagement with the cam in the second position only by a manual control to restart the gramophone. The particular arrangement shown is described in the abridgment of Specification 975,992.
