Abstract

Multi-colour intaglio prints are made by producing colour separation diapositives using an autotype screen having different angular positions of the line for each diapositive, transferring each diapositive to a light-sensitive material in which an image of an intaglio printing screen is also formed, each screened image so formed being transferred to a printing cylinder and etched in the normal way, the same intaglio screen being used with each diapositive and comprising series of lines or line-sections which include all the angular positions of the lines in the individual autotype screens used in producing the diapositives. These angular positions may be 15 degrees, 45 degrees and 75 degrees. Drawings of suitable intaglio screens are shown.
