In a rectifier circuit two single-phase transformers T1, T2, one of which has a saturable core and is shunted by a capacitor 5, have their primaries connected in series to a single-phase supply at 1, 2, and their secondaries 6, 7 connected in series, the free ends of the two secondaries and their common connection being connected to the input terminals, 15, 17, 16, respectively, of three-phase bridge rectifier circuit 8. A constant voltage output is obtained (Fig. 2, not shown).
