973,128. Control of motors. GEO. J. MEYER MANUFACTURING CO. Dec. 11, 1962 [Aug. 6, 1962], No. 46707/62. Heading H2J. A labelling machine is associated with a speed-reducing unit R having an output shaft 119a and an input shaft 20 fixed to pulley 21 which receives a belt driven by an electric motor. If an obstruction opposes the rotation of shaft 119a, the unit R is swung about the axis of the shaft until member 42 engages pin 41 to open the motor circuit through switch S. An arm 31, which is fixed to the casing of the unit R, is biased by spring 38 normally to engage stop 36, clockwise movement of the arm being limited by stop 35. Specification 805,074 is referred to.
