Abstract
972,507. Electric tubular resistance heater connections. SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN A.B. Dec. 15, 1961 [Dec. 17, 1960], No. 44992/61. Heading H5H. A tubular resistance heating element has the supply connection to at least one end constituted by a plurality of integral tongues which have radially outward extension. The tongues, which may be formed by slitting the end of the tube, may extend directly in the radial direction (Fig. 3, not shown), or be bent back parallel to the tube (Fig. 2, not shown), with an optional further radial extension thereafter, 15, Fig. 1a. Articles 16 to be heated pass through the furnace tube 11, which is provided with a supply connection 12 at one end, and conductive ring contact 14 to the tongue ends at the the other end, at which the articles are discharged.
