Abstract

A rodent-repellent composition comprises as essential ingredients cycloheximide, a -benzene hexachloride and DDT, which are present in the proportions by weight of 0.005 to 0.4 parts, 0.05 to 4 parts and 0.05 to 4 parts respectively. A mercaptan-formaldehyde condensation resin may optionally be included as an additional active ingredient, preferably in a proportion of 0.01 to 0.5 parts by weight. The active ingredients are preferably dissolved or suspended in a compatible liquid carrier, e.g. an organic solvent and/or water; for aqueous emulsions, an anionic or non-ionic surface-active agent may be added, and the emulsion may be stabilized by adjusting it to a pH of about 5 with an inorganic acid, e.g. hydrochloric or boric. As the condensation resin ingredient, a thiophenol-formaldehyde resin is exemplified.
