Abstract

An insecticidal composition comprises as active ingredient at least one insecticide present in pyrethrum extract and containing, as a stabilizing agent therefor, 1-phenylazo-2-amino-naphthylamine or 2,4-dihydroxyazobenzene, preferably in an amount from 100 to 200% of the weight of the insecticide. An absorber of ultra-violet light and/or an anti-oxidant, e.g. salt or alkyl or aryl ester of para-aminobenzoic acid, an alkyl or aryl ester of ortho- or parahydroxybenzoic acid or polyhydric phenol may be included in the composition. There may also be incorporated a piperonyl alkoxide, e.g. piperonyl butoxide, preferably in the proportion of from 100-1500% by weight of the insecticide. Specification 927,892 and U.S.A.
