Abstract

1,267,974. Insecticide containing carbaryl. L. R. LYONS. 10 March, 1969 [9 Oct., 1968], No. 12377/69. Heading ASE. An insecticidal composition comprises carbaryl, colloidal silica and an inert carrier, and optionally hexachlorophene and/or dichlorophene. Perfumes, colouring agents and other insecticides (pyrethrins, piperonyl butoxide, benzene hexachloride, captan and dichlorvos) also may be included. The compositions may be applied to insects, their sites (hair, fur, feathers) and to living creatures (including human beings), suitably in the form of dry powders but also as dispersions in aqueous media.
