972,147. Endless chain conveyers. INCRATE BOTTLING CO. PROPRIETARY Ltd. Feb. 26, 1963 [March 20, 1962], No. 10579/62. Heading B8A. Crates 4 of bottles are carried in a crate carrier 1 forming parts of an endless chain conveyer in a bottle-washing machine. The crates 4 are retained in the carrier 1 by engaging inwardly sloping portions 9 of torsion rods 8. At a station at which the crates are to be removed from the carriers 1, followers 10 on the ends 9 of the torsion rods 8 engage cam members 11, 11, and so move out of crate engaging position.
