In a pressure gauge in which pressure is indicated by a beam of light directed on a diaphragm 12 to indicate the angular width divergency or convergency or intensity of reflected light, the diaphragm 12 is attached by an adhesive to the face 13 of a ring 10 and is tensioned by an annular rib 18 on a further ring 11 held in position by adhesive between the diaphragm 12 and a face 17 or by nuts and screws.
