Abstract

1315066 Piezo-electric transducers H LIST 24 June 1971 [3 July 1970 18 Aug 1970] 29613/71 Heading G1N A pressure transducer comprises a piezoelectric crystal 6, Fig.2, in one recess 5 of a cylindrical housing 1 and an amplifier 4 in another recess 3. The housing is sealed at one end by a cap 32, which also carries a connector 25, and by a diaphragm 14 at the other end, carrying a foot 13 transmitting the external pressure to the crystal 6, which is cooled by water fed through pipes 17, 18. The gain of the amplifier is adjustable by a potentiometer 30 via a screw 31.
