Abstract
1,076,057. Electrical force transducers. KISTLER INSTRUMENTE A. G. June 10, 1965 [June 16, 1964], No.24562/65. Heading G1N. A Piezo-electric sensor is mounted in a first housing, Fig. 4, and a fully transistorized amplifier is mounted in a second housing, Fig. 3, the two housings being assembled to form a rigid sealed transducer unit Fig. 5 (not shown) in which the amplifier is connected to the output of the sensor by a pin 6 and socket 7. The unit may be protected from shock waves by mounting it in a casing (10) by means of O-rings 11, Fig. 6 (not shown). In an acceleration measuring embodiment the housing carrying the amplifier may comprise a cavity Fig. 7 (not shown) in which the sensor Fig. 8 (not shown) is inserted Fig. 9 (not shown) In a force measuring embodiment the Piezoelectric sensor is mounted in a collar Fig. 10 (not shown) secured by a thread (20) to a force transmitting member, and the amplifier is carried in the head of a screw member Fig. 11 (not shown) which engages the collar to secure the assembled unit to a base-plate Fig. 12 (not shown).
