Abstract

1331763 Piezo-electric transducers EASTMAN KODAK CO 8 Oct 1970 [13 Oct 1969] 47917/70 Heading H4J [Also in Division H2] An ultrasonic transducer comprising a pair of piezo-electric elements 23, 25 with an intermediate metal spacer 27 clamped between a pair of body members 11, 13 by a bolt 19 has ducts for cooling fluid comprising a central bore 29 in the bolt communicating, via the end of a threaded bore 21 in member 13, with an external longitudinal groove 31 in the bolt, the said groove extending into an annular space 33 between the bolt and the elements which provides access for the cooling fluid to radial passages formed by radial grooves 35, 37, 41 in the members 13, 27 and 11 respectively. The radial grooves alternatively may be formed in the elements 23, 25.
