Abstract

Piezo electric transducers are fitted into the induction manifolds of the engine at the same point that a vacuum gauge or manometer would be fitted producing a voltage proportional to the vacuum pulse applied by the engine. These voltages are then each connected by a twin screened cable to a pair of amplifiers, then rectified. Then each rectified output is buffered to give a D.C. signal that can be monitored, thus the engine's induction pulses can be monitored and the carburation can be adjusted to set the vacuum pulse levels the same within the induction manifolds.

SPECIFICATION Carburation balancing by piezo electric transducers This invention relates to carburation balancing by Piezo Electric Transducers.

The balancing of multi cylinder engines with multiple carburation, whether it is carburation or fuel injection.

The methods available are well known, vacuum guages, manometers or flow meters.

According to the present invention, Piezo Electric Transducers are fitted into the induction manifolds of the engine at the same points as vacuum gauges or manometers would be fitted.

These transducers by their very nature, will produce a voltage proportional to the vacuum pulse applied by the engine. These voltages are then each connected by a twin screened cable to a pair of amplifiers, then rectified.

Then each rectified output is buffered to give a D.C. signal that can be monitered.

By using the present invention an engine's inducation pulses can be monitered and the carburation can be adjusted to set the vacuum pulse levels the same within the induction manifolds.

5. Carburation balancing by Piezo Electric Transducers can be used in any situation that a vacuum guage or manometers could be used for carburation balancing.

SPECIFICATION Carburation balancing by piezo electric transducers This invention relates to carburation balancing by Piezo Electric Transducers. The balancing of multi cylinder engines with multiple carburation, whether it is carburation or fuel injection. The methods available are well known, vacuum guages, manometers or flow meters. According to the present invention, Piezo Electric Transducers are fitted into the induction manifolds of the engine at the same points as vacuum gauges or manometers would be fitted. 4. Carburation balancing by Piezo Electric Transducers which are fitted into the induction manifolds of a two-stroke engine, fitted with carburettors.
5. Carburation balancing by Piezo Electric Transducers can be used in any situation that a vacuum guage or manometers could be used for carburation balancing.
