[Also in Division B8] A closure 20 for a vessel 10 moving outwardly into closing position comprises an elliptical cover 20 carrying a bracket 37 on which arms 35, 36 of a resilient handle 31 are pivoted. The cover having an 0-ring seal 25 is inserted sideways into the vessel through an opening 17 and then turned by the handle to bring its rim 23 into alignement with the rim 18 of the opening. The handle 31 is then depressed so that cams 43, 44 press against areas 21 of the vessel and raise the cover to trip the ring 25 between the rims 23, 18 and seal the vessel.
