966,765. Haymaking machines. A. R. CUNNINGHAM, R. B. CUNNINGHAM, R. A. CUNNINGHAM, and T. W. CUNNINGHAM, [trading as CUNNINGHAM & SONS]. Feb. 6, 1961, No. 4459/61. Heading A1F. A hay-tedder comprises a draft frame 10 with a tedding assembly 22 mounted therein on a transverse shaft 20, the assembly including a plurality of tines 29 rotable about the shaft-axis in an upward and rearward direction from the ground during forward travel, each tine having a radial shank 31 and an outer terminal portion 34 bent backwardly in the direction of rotation so that the outermost tip is tangential to the circle of rotation described by the tips. The tines are driven by ground-reaction and draft frame is mounted on wheels 47 which are adjustable into various mounting-holes 49 in legs 48 carried by the ends of the draft frame. The tines are clamped between hub-plates 24 which are shaped to accommodate the radial shanks 31 and also bentover inner ends (Fig. 5, not shown) of the tines thereby preventing rotation of the tines. Flat stripping members 38 are mounted between each of the tined wheels thus formed.
