Abstract

965,258. Pouches. E. M. AUSNIT. May 4, 1961 [June 6, 1960], No. 16240/61. Heading A4G. [Also in Divisions B5 and E2] A closure has opposed closure strips 17, 18 which become engaged when pressed together and which become separated when drawn apart, and a manually engageable flange 25 integral with one of the strips and of a different colour to that of the strips. The strip 17 is attachable to a front wall 12 of a pouch and the strip 18 is attachable to a back wall 11 of the pouch so that the strips overlap to allow formations 21, 24 to engage. The strips and flange are made of thermosetting or thermoplastic synthetic resins or of rubber. When the strip with the flange is of synthetic resin it is made by extrusion using a die as shown in Fig. 3 which is supplied with plastics material of two colours from different sources; the material for the flange 25 is supplied from a fitting 28 through an aperture 29 to the appropriate portion of the die and the remainder of the die is supplied from a source (not shown) behind the die. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 800,169.
