[Also in Division B3] The invention relates to an apparatus for sensing defects in a wire cutting apparatus controlled by the sensing head to mark defective portions, a punching and shearing machine for making tapered roller bearings, and a sorting arrangement for separating bearings made from portions of marked wire as described in Specification 964, 346, but the claims are directed to apparatus for identifying marked wire, apparatus for making parts from the wire including means for identifying marked portions and means for rejecting parts made therefrom, and apparatus for rejecting articles made from defective wire.
