In a motor vehicle in which the engine 10, transmission housing 11 and axle casings 12 are assembled as a unit, steerable wheels 21 are mounted on a subframe 13 comprising a platform 14 pivoted below the engine 10 on pin 74 and a diverging pair of arms 15 pivoted below the axle casings at 16. The steerable wheels 21 are driven through extensible shafts 25, 26 on either side of the unit and are mounted on a triangular structure, the base member 22 and apex of which pivot about a common axis on lugs 38, 37 of the subframe. A superstructure 17 on the subframe supports a seat 18, controls 20 and an implement such as a bucket loader 19.
