962,455. Universal joints. B.R.D. CO. Ltd. March 9, 1961 [March 9, 1960], No. 8238/60. Heading F2U. In the constant velocity universal joint described in Specification 962,454, the crosssection of the ballcarrying tracks is such that the radius of those portions 21 of the track in engagement with the ball is greater than the radius of the ball, and in order to reduce friction and prevent scuffing a longitudinal groove 22 is formed in the base of each track.
