Abstract

962,051. Knickers. E. C. PUGH CO. Ltd. Feb. 8, 1963 [Feb. 8, 1962], No. 4868/62. Heading A3V. Ladies' or children's knicker garment comprises substantially triangular shaped front and rear portions, the opposite apices being united at the crutch part, the wide upper ends which form the waist united by a horizontal row of stitching adjacent the waist to provide overlapping parts at each side above each leg opening and below the waist whereby the size of the leg opening varies according to the size of the wearer. The waist may be elasticated. The rear and front panels 1 and 2 (Figs. 3 and 4) are overlapped at each side to form triangular sections 3 of double thickness which are secured by a horizontal row of stitching, the overlapping and underlying sloping edges being free to adjust for different sizes.
