A windscreen wiper, particularly for a motor vehicle, is controlled by a flexible rotary transmission connected at one end to a motor and at the other end to a device for transforming the unidirectional rotary motion into an oscillating rotary motion for actuating an associated wiper arm. The flexible shaft 2<SP>11</SP> driven by a motor (not shown) operates a worm wheel 8 through a worm gear 7. A crank pin 9 on the wheel 8 is linked through a connecting rod 10 to a rocker arm 11 fixed to the pivot pin 12 of the wiper arm. An installation is described including two wipers and a single switch controls the parking position of both wiper arms.
