Abstract

960,362. Cabinets. FLEXIFORM Ltd. Sept. 15, 1960 [June 16, 1959], No. 20668/59. Heading A4B. In a metal cabinet, the side walls 11 consist each of a sheet 15 presenting a flat interior surface and stiffened by hollow pillars 17 which are closed at the top and bottom by horizontal plates 16, bolts 25 taking through apertures 28, 26 in the plates 16 and in the cabinet top 10 and base 12 to secure the sides thereto. The front and rear of each sheet 15 has a vertical array of slits 18 opening into the pillars 17 and receiving shelf-supporting brackets 21 having front flanges 24 to prevent forward sliding of the shelves 23. In a modified form, each side wall is formed as a hollow casing having top and bottom closure plates through which the assembly bolts pass. The front may be closed by either a pair of hinged doors or a roller blind moved upwardly to open. Specification 960,363 is referred to.
