Abstract

1357004 Cabinets ALSTONS (LONG MELFORD) Ltd 15 Feb 1972 [16 Feb 1971] 4744/71 Heading A4B [Also in Division E1] A wardrobe or cabinet door 14 comprises a pair of moulded plastics, tray-like members 1, 4 each with a peripheral flange and interfitted one within the other, in the manner of a box and lid, and then permanently secured together, e.g. by adhesive. The members 1, 4 have respective recesses 5, 8 with abutting bottoms. Hinges 11 or other locks or fasteners are secured to wooden blocks or struts 13 fixed within the door. The recesses 8 in the front member 4 are moulded with louvres 9. The body of the wardrobe is moulded in plastics, e.g. polystyrene, and comprises a top 15, bottom 16, sides 17 and a front 18 with flanged openings 21 to receive the doors 14. The open rear of the cabinet body is closed by a separately moulded rear wall 19 with a peripheral flange 20 engaged within the open rear.
