Abstract

958,541. Lubricating. GES. FUR LINDE'S EISMASCHINEN A.G. July 24, 1961 [July 22, 1960], No. 26735/61. Heading F2A. [Also in Division B1] In a means for lubricating a rotary compressor 1, oil is forced by compressed air from a sump 4 on which the compressor is mounted, is passed through an oil-cooler 21, a conduit 24, an oil-cleaner 25, a valve 26, through bearings 8, 9 of the compressor, which are cooled as well as lubricated, and into a chamber 16. Air entering the compressor at 13 also passes to the chamber 16 and is compressed by slidable vanes 7. The mixture of compressed air and oil is then passed to the sump 4 via a separator 17 and a filter 19. The oil-free compressed air is discharged through an outlet 18 and the separated oil is again passed through the cooler 21 which is mounted in a tubular jacket 20 positioned in the sump, so as to recommence the lubrication cycle. The compressor is coupled to, and is driven by, an electric motor, also mounted on the sump.
