Abstract
956,788. Tunnel kilns. ATON PLANUNGSUND BAUGESELLSCHAFT FUR DIE KERAMISCHE INDUSTRIE. Sept. 27, 1960 [Oct. 22, 1959], No. 33206/60. Heading F4B. In a tunnel kiln for firing ceramics oil burners g are directed into cavities formed between the crane platform d and the base plate f of each truck b, adjacent platforms d and base plates f abutting by tongue and groove or like joints. Waste gases are extracted at the tunnel entry end by a chimney. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), transverse ridges on the base plates f which do not reach the platforms d divide said cavities. The kiln side walls are formed with a step which overhangs the edges of platforms d.
