Abstract

956,546. Casting-machines. NATIONAL LEAD CO. Jan. 25, 1963 [Feb. 7, 1962], No. 3178/63. Heading B3F. In a pressure die-casting machine core members 52 are locked in the die cavity by pivoted links 48 which are actuated by movement of the die-closing cross-head 38. The core members are inserted in and extracted from the die cavity by pistons 58, Fig. 1. The crosshead 38 is moved by a piston 34, the dies being held closed by a toggle linkage 42-47 ty which the core locking links 48 are pivotall 2 connected at 50. Other side mould members 7 are locked in position by wedges 76.
